Aman is a Master’s student at the University of Waterloo, School of Environment, Resources, and Sustainability studying sustainable agriculture in the age of climate change. He has been involved with the soil ecosystem dynamics lab at the University of Waterloo alongside Dr. Maren Oelbermann since September 2022 and previously worked as a research assistant at the soil chemistry, fertility, and water quality program at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

Aman is currently researching plant nutrient acquisition in cold-climate, northern agricultural forage crop systems. He works in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador on three sites (Taiga Valley, Nature’s Best, and Birch Lane). His research involves understanding nutrient availability in boreal, sandy, podzolic soils and nutrient use efficiency of forage peas and oats under a variety of organic amendments on established and recently converted boreal land.
