The former IUSS Cryosols working group is now IUSS Commission 1.7/3.8: Permafrost-Affected Soils

Land acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, and the island of Newfoundland as the ancestral homelands of the Mi'kmaq and Beothuk. We also acknowledge Labrador as the homelands of the Innu of Nitassinan, the Inuit of Nunatsiavut, and the Inuit of NunatuKavut.
